So I get this strange email from google saying ...

hey you can have a free google voice invite..

1: I clicked ok.. picked my area.. only had numbers a few hours south.. so I picked that.. .

2: BAM>. number works forwards texts to me.. plays a greeting so the caller can be screened and sends the message to voice mail if I decline it. Lets me pick all sorts of stuff from the interface online..

3: you can filter all your incoming calls, and I havnt tried it yet.. but it says it transcribes voicemail messages for me and text messages it to me.

also lets you text from the web to phones and shows the number that your google voice account is on.

try to get an invite here.

    http://www.google.com/voice

and all the calls are free and do call connection.. I call my number and it says what number do you want to dial, then connects for me.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST FREE TOOL AROUND I HAVE GOT.

JUST PSYCHED WANTED TO SHARE THIS WITH YOU ALL

Hmm. Says it's closed to the public, (in essence) but coming soon. I think this will be an awesome addition to "big brother's" arsenol of tools, and one that could be widely used.

    Looks fun!

i have the screening turned on..

you call and it says please say your name ..

then it directs the call and plays there name.. and I hit 1 to connect or another key to voicemail.. but then supposably you can click another key and listen to the message as its being left.. very cool..

yah I had to type in my 2 digit code when they called.

If i call the number directly from the phone I have attached to it, the prompts are different and ask me if I want to check my messages automatically. Or if I want to dial Google 411.

International rates are pretty cheap and can call from my phone.

Its like .02 cents a minute to call germany.

You can also have it call you and then make an outgoing call, so if you have the unlimited incoming plan your all set because of google now.

I just found this yesterday searching for disposable numbers or temp ones, and voicemail services online, looks like it would work for what I am wanting to do with it, and cheaper that what i have found otherwise. Going to use it for a another niche that I am working on right now, don't want my personal number out there and all that.
