It appears that Google is listening to feedback on their new social networking site and acting accordingly. Google+ had a bit of a rocky launch with issues around brand accounts, and a total lack of Google Apps support. Even a Google Engineer recently called the service a "knee-jerk" response to... http://searchengineland.com/google-...burner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=feed-main
I'm not sure if this will take the place of their proposed business account profiles. I hope it does, because just like with facebook pages, business specific locales usually come with limited movements... for example you cannot go out and friend from a page with facebook... if this carried over to google+ then this means we would not be able to go out and circle and organize contacts as a business profile... it's this I'd like to see not happen.

yeah, if they could take a lot of what works like the social structure from facebook, but having the fan pages and profiles combined into a single entity (more like what myspace was), and allow you to create multiple pages for different pseudonyms... In other words they need to look past facebook and look at which features have been best from all the social networking sites and combine that together into something better than any of the others. If they can do that then it might have a shot at displacing FB in the future.
