So that's why they are targeting affiliate websites so they can show their own results?

I think Google showing products in SERPs which is a great thing.

There are many people who spend hours and days searching for a product that may or not already be available on the SERPs.

And sometimes the search terms don't give them the result they wanted, which may further make them frustrated. Showing products in SERPs will only help those people out.

That's why we write buying guide so they don't have to spend days researching the product.

It's like google wants to get into affiliate marketing.
Seems like the best way to go for the long term is to sell your own product.
