Irrespective of the year spam and backlinks will work lol. If you were managing one or two niche now use AI and target as many niche as you can to be safe.

I've given up on search engines altogether, my physical and mental health are far more important.

I was at a point where I would legit get depressed if my traffic dropped by more than 5%.

I think this year is going to suck because of the reduced spending anyway. Google screwing with our sites will just add to it.

Both Ad and affiliate revenue has already dropped a lot and it’s probably going to get worse.

Indeed. With AI theres no reason to enter most websites anymore. If you want a correct, scientifically-based answer, u simply ask AI, and it tells you in a way that you'd understand.
For example a website about biology or history is doomed because the AI can already answer everything related to it.

when we all bitched long and hard about Google stealing our content to show directly on Google searches and what not.
Well, look how that shit evovled, AI just blantly steals our content, sometimes paraphrase it and then it's written off as AI.
No longers ours.
We are fucked long term, that's only how I see it.

I am not confident that it steals content from webmasters on average. Because then it could display incorrect answer to the user.

For AI to be accurate it needs to base its answers on scientific researches and such. And OpenAI's ChatGPT-3 does exactly that

It's just that 'fact-based' websites are doomed, because AI has access to facts.
