I have a website that I created on January 02, 2010. I been optimizing it and creating backlinks. I thought I escaped the Google Sandbox or whatever cause it's almost February already. I was ranking page 1 - slot 9 for my main keyphrase. Now today I was bumped to like Page 45 lol (no I didn't go through 45 pages...I set preferences to 100 results and found myself on page 3).

I only have about 10 to 15 pages on the site. It's all good content outsourced to Justin @ no doubt marketing. I been making backlinks via blog commenting. I have been doing it manually. Maximum 20 per day (some days like 3...it just depends on how much time or if i get side tracked). I been leaving mostly genuine comments. Everytime I would leave a comment, I would ping that url at pingler.

I did pay the $80.00 for 200 backlinks using this service: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/buy-sell-services/117626-angelas-pauls-backlinks.html

I pinged all the sites myself....but I'm not seeing them in the backlink tool yet. I did this about 2 weeks ago.

My current backlink status is: using: hxxp://www.online-utility.org/webmaster/backlink_domain_analyzer.jsp

3 backlinks from 3 different .edu domains.
194 backlinks from 18 different .com domains.
1 backlinks from 1 different .org domains.
1 backlinks from 1 different domains of other types.

So my questions are: What did I do wrong? What should I be doing now? How long should I expect to be sandboxed for?

I'd say its the google dance at the moment. Keep adding backlinks and you will take the top 10 back. Its not uncommon to shoot back down to like position 400 and come right back to page 1 after more linking so do that, and do it consistantly

It's just the google dance. I suggest that if you can, keep creating new content on your website and build more backlinks slowly (either manually or through a service).

Okay cool. Yeah I plan adding one blog entry per week for the site...just to make it seem like it's regularly updated.

As far as continuing with the Micro Niche websites, what is a good plan of action here? I mean do I wait for this website to get it's rank back or should I start investing into new sites? I have 3 websites currently that I'm working on. None of them make money everyday. They make money weekly and not a lot.

It depend on how much time and money you have really. If you don't have more money to invest into other domains/articles etc then you should concentrate on this one your working on for now and make money to reinvest into other domains.

If you do have money to invest however, then you should be looking forward to stream lining many of the repetitive time concuming jobs your are doing now. For example, you could outsource article creation, backlinking etc and leave yourself time to concentrate on finding the best keywords for your future micro niche sites.

    Eventually you could outsource everything...

A outsourcer could add articles to your blogs,
    Upload themes etc
    Add backlinks
    Even do keyword research etc

    Good luck!

I outsource my articles, but I'm worried about outsourcing my backlinking. I don't want to get hit with a google penalty or anything. I did pay for that service I mentioned in my first post...200 backlinks for angela and paul links for $80.00. I have not seen any benefit of doing that. Nothing has changed and none of those sites are showing up in the backlink tool checker. I wrote a script to ping all 200 of the sites with all of the sites listed on pingler. I did this about 2 to 3 weeks ago.

Thats strange that none of them at all have shown up. I never bother with Angela and Paul links because they are spammed to death really. Your using them, countless "warriors" are using them and not to mention all the BHatters that get these reports here and on several other forums.

Maybe you should start spinning the articles you have and submit them to article directories?

Theres a great spinner (don't know if you have it already) that is about to launch tomorrow but is free to test until then. Its called 'the best spinner' and it is definitely the best spinner around! If you grab your free version asap and get to work spinning your 10-15 articles you will get loads of spinned articles done before it launches tomorrow.

    You can get it here:
    Code:

    It's definitely Google dance.

I wouldn't focus all my backlinks on one source. I would spread it out randomly across all properties, methods, and IPs. Should Google decide to devaule backlinks from any source (not that they haven't), your site's ranking will not be dropped off far from your original spot.

Now go get some backlinks from article directories with spun articles like someone has mentioned above . :)

Is this website accurate at all? hxxp://www.seopenalty.c0m/

It's saying i have a penalty of 10. I don't really see why I should. I have good content and my link building hasn't been off the charts...but then again the SERP results changed dramatically.

Wow, nice site: hxxp://www.seopenalty.c0m/ I checked it against a few of my sites, I don't know how it figures it out, but it seems to be right.

I hope it's not right. I don't really know why I would have a penalty. If I do, I hope it's just a "new site" penalty. I only created the site in January, and maybe they just flag you internally as a new site for probation period.

Does anyone know if this seo penalty checker is correct?

I did a few basic checks for myself.

    My pages are still indexed.
When I type my domain in, my domain comes up as number 1.
    My Webmaster Tools looks good.

The only thing i noticed is the crazy drop in rankings for my main keyphrase. But you guys seem to think it's the Google Dance.

If your domain is mycooldomain.com, type "mycooldomain" without quiotes and www. If in this case you are on top, its just Google dance.

If domain name is not common word like a "computer", "shop", it means that your domain filtered by google. You can pm me domain and I'll see.

I have the same problem, got bounced to page 20 overnight, checked domain without www and without .com - my site comes up on top so i'm hoping it's just the google dance but how do I reclaim my previous position? build a ton of backlinks?

Great thread by the way :)

That seo penalty checker site does seem to have something to it?

I have a domain that I went OTT on and it went from big G..it reports that as banned.

And my two white hat domains (doing well in rankings) show zero penalty
