Okay so I came across something a few minutes ago that I do not understand why it is happening. When I search for main keyword, I see the meta description that I set up in wordpress. Great! However, when i search for my secondary keyword, instead of google using my description as the snippet, it has instead pulled some text from an article on the home page which obviously is not ideal. Why is this and how can I fix it?

The URL is the exact same that is ranking in both cases.

What SEO plugin are you using? If you're using Yoast SEO I recommend this guide to set it up properly:

Most likely an issue with your seo plugin. I'd check there first.
