It just happened earlier today and I'm ranking 1st spot on a lot of keywords for that niche but now its not even showing on the page 1-5 result. Checked my GWMT and no message at all. Will redirect to a new domain work? Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks

if it was removed by dmca complaint if you go to the keyword listing their will be a message at the bottom of the page directing you to the complaint.

though ranking with copied shit, dmca is part of the game im afraid.

Two weeks ago i received a DMCA take down notice from my hosting so after that I immediately switch my hosting to a different provider who doesn't care about DMCA complaints. Until earlier today my website is nowhere to be found. But when i try to search google using site:mywebsite.com it's still showing on the result. No message so far on my GWMT.

Is your website pharmacy related or it's copyrighted content?

yes there is message at the bottom of the page "In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint that caused the removal(s) at xxx.com

But my question is will it work if I 301 this to a new domain? Will it boost the rankings of the new domain?

You site is penalized if you still find all the pages searching yoursite in google. 301 won't do anything unfortunately because google affected your ranking. There are two possibilities from here: either remove all the bad stuff that lead to this penalty and manually resubmit your site to google, or start a new one.

as for your original question, can you 301 the domain. I don't really know how it would work out because in theory, that domain is now blacklisted to google.

it would be interesting to see your results though, so give it a try I don't see that you can lose anything.

You have nothing to lose try 301 and see if it works for you.

Trying 301 might work because I know of a football site that used it and yet still ranked no.1 above quality sites with quality content. So, try 301 before doing something foolish!!

Thanks a lot guys for all the help. I think my site got penalized since it went down to 6-8 pages for all of the keywords. I'm just curious on what is the penalty that i received. Will update you once i received it from my GWMT.

Update. Just got a manual penalty for thin content with little or no added value. It's a site-wide match. Did anyone encountered this and successfully got his site back to rank?

I'm not an expert but I've heard that you need to change the content making it longer and unique and then resubmitting. Message a writer to re-do the content if you'd like to revive your page.

if you get a penalty I would just leave the website alone and forget it. If you 301 it google is going to remember where you're new domain came from and it will probably scrutinize it more in future, I mean, wouldn't you? So unless you're planning on make god like content with nothing but organic links...I'd just forget the site.

That domain is junk i'd say. I wouldn't chance it.
Remember Google is always smarter than you. They can and will find out everything eventually..just matters if you are important enough on their radar.
You can delay the process..but don't go asking for it!

google hasn't removed your site entirly from the search engine, your issue is known with copyright infrigin websites and it's more often with warez and torrent sites as they get hit by thin content penalty..your traffic will go down by half if not worst but u'll still get organic trafic. i'm just surprised that you got hit with that penality only after one DMCA hit because it usually takes alot of DMCA notices for a website to grab google's attention.. maybe your site is generating copy past non original content?

Thanks mate. Will definitely try this out first.

Actually 301 is not an option anymore I thought my site was completely remove in SERP. So i'll re do my content and add a lot of content as well.

I can delete my content and put it in a new site but it will take around 3-6 months to rank it so I think I'll try to re do my content first and also add a lot of content as well but thanks for the input.

My site has 100% unique content and it was ranking for almost a year. I think it was manually reviewed. So it won't hurt if I try to redo my content and add a bunch of content as well. Hopefully it will work.

Thanks for the help guys. Will try several stuffs first to see if I can get my ranking back.

You can test a penalized 301 on a web 2.0 site like tumbler or weebly, you'll be surprised ;-))
