Google ranking question ||

Hello,

if I search on google "mydomain.net" I can see that my web site appears in many other web sites... there are a lot of backlinks.

But in the "https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/dashboard" in the field called "Links to your site" (downloding the excel Download all external links) there are much less links.

Many of the search results are not in this excel list.

Why that?

What is important for google ranking? The real number of backlinks indexed in google or the real number of backlinks that actually appear on the excel on the Google Webmaster dashboard?

yeah.. irony apart, that's sad

So much money spent for nothing. But I think positive, I put myself the black hat 2 weeks ago.... waiting for results...

Anyway I am sure there is a why to my questions... I am curious to know this why...
