Does anyone know when the next G-PR update will be? I started a blog in late December and have been trying a lot of methods from this site, but no PR yet.

How does that work? In the next G-PR update? Thanks.

I'm wondering too. I have a site that's #1 out of 77,000,000 and it's only PR2 as of the last update. If anyone knows this, I would like to know as well.

There was a big update around the end of December so unfortunately stuff you launched around then might not have gotten PR at that time. But elpadrino is right, estimated time frame should be end of March or early April for the next biggie.

that's right i had a couple of sites that gone from pr0
to pr2-3 and even pr4 at the end of December.
and i read somewhere that the estimated time for the next update is
at mid April.

I work as an in-house SEO and we noticed a big one in the first week of December.

We've also noticed some minor changes happening since then up until maybe 2 weeks ago. If i had to guess I would say middle of March will be the next.

Hi all

Just for example :)

Say someone started blogging every day to 4 blogs and started on Jan 10 and kept on posting good content all the way through to the next update could they expect a traffic increase when page rank is assigned? They are getting 5 hits a day currently through SERP's and have pages index although no backlinks have been found (yahoo has picked up the backlinks but not the big G).

Just thought I would ask you knowledgable folk before I (they) waste 2 months or more posting 20 new articles per day!!

Thanks

G

You would get more traffic, definitely, mostly all from long tails and not your main keyword. You'll start seeing more traffic a few days after G indexes your pages, no need for a PR update, PR doesn't affect your SERP rankings.

Guess I should just plod along then :) Still I got 24 cents today !! That's a "start"

Thanks for you help.

Why would you waste your time on following google PR... As long as you do your site promotion correctly, you should get good visitors & some sales..

The last PR update was In December 2008. My blog got an PR5 rank. And some of my blog page got 2-3 PR rank..
