    Hi

All of a sudden today my website position slipped to 393 from 12. I don't know what went wrong. Please any of you guys shed some help on how to handle and finding out what could have happened exactly?.

    Thanks in advance

Has the Goog changed IP's? I noticed a hit from 208.109.168.209 for the user-agent Mediapartners-Google

Could spell trouble for anyone using cloaking. Still trying to get to the bottom of it.

Have you done anything specific that may be the cause of such falling? Is it your site a new one?

If you havent done anything harmful, it's probably just a temporary thing. Enjoy the Boogle Woogle Google dance!

few days ago I submitted to different search engines and directories other than that I don't remember I did any thing wrong. Even I stopped commenting for back links as well. If it is google dance should be fine. But if it is some thing else how do we know?.

This is normal dude, its called a google dance. Keep builidng backlinks and your site should return to its position within 2 weeks, usually even stronger than before.

Other keyword rankings stays same which are already in around 100 to 300. I am just concentrating on this one keyword initially. BTW is this google Wave different from google dance or both same?.

    IMHO,

It's normal, like it has mentioned above, it is Google Dance.

The name "Google Dance" Is significant changes in search results. These changes would be evident from one minute to the next. But the update did not proceed as a switch from one index to another like the flip of a switch. In fact, it took several days to finish the complete update of the index.

So, during any month there will be minor changes in rankings. This is because Google spider is always running and finding new material for SERPs. It also happens because the spider may have detected that a website no longer exists, and needs to be deleted from the index.

    Just Keep update your content.

    Good Luck

No, I have never heard someone call it google wave. I think he was referring to what I said, he just gave it another name :p

It is a google dance event.

Nothing to worry about keep building backlinks and contents and your site will come back within a week or 2.

Do your backlinks all contain this one keyword as anchor text?

One way you could get your ranking back would be if using a blog- to place a comment to your self from a high ranking website. This sometimes works

Yea, just to reassure its the Google dance I have been through it a ton of times myself... Make sure to vary your anchor text when building backlinks and you will come back to the front page probably ;)

I got similar problem yesterday, from #9 to "I don't know area"
I posted a new article, then bookmarked several old profile links pointing to that site.
no new links added, just old profile links.
    It's #8 now.
Note: I check the rank using market samurai
