    Example:

I type in something like "chauffeur service west birmingham". No Google Placemap comes up. How do you know if Google does not grant a placename for that keyword or it's just that no one has submitted a placemap for that keyword?

Be great to sell an opportunity to a small business where they can jump to the front with no competition in the places...

I just did a test "chauffeur leipzig" vs. "chauffeur dresden". Leipzig did not have any Places listings, Dresden's SERP has the three-pack + map mixed in. Dresden also has a metric ton of entries on Maps, while Leipzig has two.

Yeah I don't think it works like that though (as in if there is no Gplace than you can get one in...) I think it's up to Google to decide?

Think like a customer...where is West Birmigham? It's a phrase I've never heard of before, try West Midlands, West Bromwich or just Birmingham.

In the UK there's only really London where a North, East, South or West prefix is generally used.
