    Hi,

My site was penalized for low diversity of the anchor. My site was positioned to a series of keywords such as:

    Audi Cars
    Opel Cars
    Honda Cars
    Buy Cars
    Cars

With my anchor Cars, i was in the first page. The other keywords are also well positioned. However, for a month my website is on page 10-11 for the keyword Cars. The remaining keywords are in position. I have more backlinks and more authority than my competition, but I am worse positioned.

Do you know if this is really a penalty?

If so, how I can get out of it?

    Thanks

How do you know it was a diversity issue? Have you had a warning in GWT?

If you are certain its a diversity issue and not a PR blog page link issue like everyone else seems to be having then I would suggest you diversify your anchor by using a wide variety of text such as

    http://www.domain.co.uk
    www.domain.co.uk
    check this out
    go here
    more info
    take a look at this
    find out more
    read more
    go to site
    link
click here to find out more
    read this

I would suggest that 30-40% of all your anchor text is of this variety, from what i have read recently.

No, I have no message in GWT. If I make backlinks with the keyword Audi Cars, that also affect the keyword Cars? That is my question, because all I'm positioning keywords are the keyword Cars.
