Game hacks are ok, but game cracks are not allowed and can be penalizrd by google, cheat code sites are a good niche but competition is tough.
I have seen adaense on some such sites.

Google penalizes websites that get reported. Since "gaming hack sites" has dirty competition you can expect your website to be reported many times. If it does you will get a manual penalty sooner or later. Bank while you can and remember: don't keep all your eggs in one basket!

    bullshit

they are penalised a lot. cheats get a ban more likely than cracks, but cracks as well.

you dont know how many months ive wasted doing multiniche hack sites and then making links to them.

find a workaround or die (not literally)

It is very likely for any hack site to be penalized as it is fake spam content.

High chance of getting hit with those, the rate is a lot higher for the past 6 months.

If you are into whitehat stuffs, you should do more evergreen niches, worth your time and efforts.

Why would you waste your time with that "white hat" with those sites? Just build them, black hat SEO and make money and repeat. Invest your time onto something better, Amazon affiliate or something. But to answer your question, no, you are not safe. The moment your sites gets reported and someone from Google checks it out manually, you will get a penalty so don't bother.

I think your game niche site violates the Google rules. Is it your site based on gambling niche? If you go with white hat technique, you should know all things about the Google policies. Try to analyze the Google update and then proceed. Best of luck buddy.
