There are so many possibilities as to what they could have done. I mean. I don't know where to begin. Stopped evaluating links.. do they only evaluate the page relevance now? and improved local search, I wonder what would happen if we posted a page on our website for every city in america, if we could beat out our competition so the people in the given cities would find our geotargeted pages instead of our competition's.

Time to whip out the bots and find out!!

I'm going to fire up the grill so I can have some Panda steaks.

Just build your sites/backlinks to your sites/etc and the Panda means nothing.

Doesn't sound like anything too threatening to me. Keep developing quality money sites, and building quality backlinks over time. You'll be fine. I don't really care if Google wants to weed out of the talentless bottom feeders (No offense to talentless bottom feeders)

Got some small negative changes. Dropped 1 spot or two for every keyword on 1 site.

I had a website with very well written content (like perfect articles with around 1000 words, h1, h2, h3 tags, keyword density of 1.5 to 2, images with alt tags and videos and good internal linking) and also lot of plr articles (20% original articles, 30% good rewritten articles and 50% plr articles and articles from article directories). The site's traffic used to extremely good and had a natural alexa ranking of 60k. Then the last panda update killed the site and the traffic from 6k UV per day fell to 500 uv per day, even the good articles were out ranked. but today again the traffic increased and when checked my analytics it seems only the good articles are ranked again (Edit: now the traffic again went up but not to the old levels but 2000 uv so far with one more hour left for the day).

I think google is distilling the process of ranking and moving in a direction where only quality articles will be ranked. Good from user's perspective but bad for IM, but over a long run a talented IM will find ways to build quality websites and content quickly.

Says who? This is good for IM. Good for the guys who have been working diligently at creating quality sites all along knowing that this is what it would come to. Good for the people who had the long term in mind all along. Google said from day one that their goal was to rank quality informative sites, and in the end that is what they will do. I'm all for a purging of the low level affiliates and non-devoted. More money left over for the rest.

it is not good for internet marketers as such, because 80% or more of the internet marketers are working for a quick buck, and that is why auto-blogs and back-linking because such a big business. only the elite 5% do the right thing by building quality and useful content and organic natural link building. So is the move good for Internet marketers? No, as 80% will suffer, but is it good in the long run.. Yes as the quality of Internet Marketing improves and only the best will survive and flourish.
