How has the google panda update affected you?

Is it time to change link building strategies?

One thing is for sure, you can't blast a lot anymore...you have to be more long-term and strategic..

I love seeing these panda update posts lol.I have blasted ,oh,probably 750k of links at one site, works great.Of course nowhere near that many backlinks will be found but my point is this.Blast away at a real business site and it will only help, blast away at affiliate link filled sites and there MAY be issues.I'd say the panda update was more getting rid of sites with affil or clickbank link sites than real business sites.
I only deal with business sites with no links to any affiliate, clickbank or similar sites and only see increases in serps.I got a site on page one with 3.5 mill pages, high pr (newspapers,BBC site etc) competition with scrapebox and AMR.The site is pr N\A so ,yes, blasting still works great. There is 60k searches a month,I don't really know if thats alot or not I just focus on my goal, page one.
Fact is what links building strategies are there, progile, comments, pyramid, guest posting, bookmarking, after that it gets complicated. The site is 4 months old.It even ranks on bing which is notorious for hating new sites.
You have to be realistic.Someone in seo! lol, wanted me to rank then for local seo, the top site(local keyword,e.g city seo) had 350k of links(profile, spam he\she knows the game),that's a lost cause so I told him it'd take a long time to topple that and to forget it.The fact he came to me was a worry anyway if he does seo,I recommended adwords, said he couldn't afford it so I said in that case you haven't a hope in hell of affording me anyway, adios!
Again search and you'll find this as been asked several times.

Panda is hitting some websites , mostly sites with affiliate links.
It's not just about Duplicate content nor for link building structure but it's more about how many links you have in site.
I saw a lot of sites that are being hit by Panda they almost have a lot of links in the site and it wasn't just for the duplicate content.
You might have heard that a lot of sites claim that their website has unique content but go and look inside they have a lot of links pointing to other sites from their own site.

Didn't effect me at all, except for the fact that after the update I have to sift through 'panda update' threads to get to the threads I actually want to read.

Alright...but how come there are many threads saying that AMR and Xrumer are not effective anymore?

It hit some of my sites REALLY hard, but others only a little bit. on three or four of my sites they went from page 1 to page 2 or 3, so it was still manageable, but a pain in the ass for sure. And for the few sites that got killed, I've just about given up hope on them.

What strategy did you have? A lot of AMR? Which softwares do you use?

Let's try to figure out what happened and learn from it...

Four of my sites went from 3500 organic visitors each to 75 visitors each per day.
I always preached duplicate content as a myth but it seems like big g finally caight up with duplicate content autoblogs.
Although I am not 100 % confident that this is true but everything indicates so...
    FUCKKKK!!!

Duplicate content in relation to other sites such as product descriptions and such. Autoblogs can't be without duplicate content.
Still testing although everything points to duplicate content

My existing sites have not been effected however I am finding it more difficult and less certain when blasting away with links. To a large degree it seems the "dance" is more serious and the end results aren't as good as they used to be. Don't know what anyone else has found but I've had to vary my back linking strategies some... more toward quality rather than strictly quantity.
