This sucks. I was accepted into google news but when I realized that I forgot the www. in the url when I submitted it after it was accepted, and the google news sitemap wasn't workint without the www.

I sent Google a reply to the email saying I forgot to add the WWW. and if they could change it so my site map could work.

I didn't break any rules I just put up news on a specific topic that I wrote myself, but they replied back and said upon reviewing your site we can no longer add you to google news At this time.

They didnt even tell me why just sent me a link to some of the Quality and technical rules.

This sucks, I asked a question and they remove me lol.

Is there anyway I can resubmit my site should I wait a certain amount of time first or is my site already marked?

Sorry to hear it. :( Common theme this month... Talk to google and get a ban. Several years ago I saw the threat of google moving in this direction with their customer service. I've been steering very clear from them. I'm of the opinion that it is never worth the risk to communicate with humans at google in any way. Supporting free users costs money and they can't encourage that.

Yeah, it sucks so what they do is just remove the site? I didnt break any stinking rules, I am not a spammer, It sucks cause I spent so long on my news site I typed up opinions and news updates myself with 5 other writers who are also into automobiles and racing.

I realized my sitemap wasnt working because when I submitted the site to google news it was missing the www. I asked them to fix it and instead they take me off.

Also becareful of those haters they will report your news site and get it removed even if it isn't spam. some guy who has a spam auto blog was posting questions to remove certain sites from google news, he was basically trying to eliminate his competition cause he was in it for the revenue from clicks, and he added LA TIMEs blog to the list LOL. the guy was an idiot, la times (blog) is not a spam new site its the real LA times newspaper and this guy was asking google to ban them because their articles kept showing up on the front page. Now google is removing anyone whose site gets reported, its unfair.

    This sucks.

Your problem could have been that you wrote opinion pieces. It's my understanding that one of the requirements for getting into Google News is that your articles should be objective and not contain your opinions. Of course, there are some high-profile sites in GN that offer political commentary, but in general, opinions don't qualify as news.

I don't think that's the case, opinion news are allowed google news likes them actually because they are Original in content, I mean Perez hilton the gossip blogger is on google news and most of his content is trash talking celebs and pics. what they dont like is spam or people just spamming news and switching words around. A lot of indian or paki sites were busting doing this with auto blogs and now google news is cracking down.

It makes no sense how they just took me off after approving me just because I made the mistake of not adding the www. to the front of my submission.
I just hope they ddin't black list my site permanently. should I try to resubmit it later on?

I don't see why you couldn't resubmit it. The author of GR3dCarp3t claims to have been rejected several times before getting in. Is that the course that you were following, or did you do this on your own (or use some other guide)? It used to be that you could just load up your site with a bunch of back-dated press releases and get in, but ever since that course was unleashed, there have been a lot of haters on the news forum, and Google has closed that loophole. Anyway, good luck with it. I hope you get back in.

Nope, I did it the honest way. No tricky stuff nothing, purely clean. I am a automobile fan and I had a couple people writing blogs and news opinions on different cars.

All original no press releases or back dated articles. No stealing content nothing.

They just rejected me after I emailed them asking a question to help with the news sitemap.

It sucks cause they said email back if you have a question but when I emailed they replied 3 days later and said your site is no longer included at this time.

I have no clue what I did wrong. the only other thing I can think of is those guys who are bitter who own spam blogs for adsense revenue and google took their site down and now they are trying to report any new blog out of spite.

It is the only reason I can think of. But they kicked me out when I emailed them which is strange. They said they reviewed the site again and removed it. My articles are all in good English, I use spell check and fix any grammar errors in all my articles and my other writers do the same.

People who use tattle tale strategies with Google will get theirs. Its only a matter of time before karma catches up with them. Let them burn their bridges and dig their hole as deep as they like.

Dunno what went wrong with your site. I faced problem with my site in google news. I had lots of issues lol Still my site had good design, good domain and I was posting quality content with good team of contributors. They replied and told me what was wrong... I solved problem and they included it. After that I had few more issues which I got solved after talking to them. They don't reply soon, some times it takes few days before getting any answer. Try mailing and post in their forum, some one might help you.

Anyway I don't think there could be any issue with sitemap or www Sitemap is not even mandatory.... Also Google doesn't exclude site just because some one reported it, if that would be case only handfull of big brands will remain there...

You must have some issues with technical or quality... I don't know about your site, so I am just guessing... Also it's not any fix rule or ban and you can come back again... Just go through your site and keep posting quality content and they apply again. I know people whose site got excluded from google news and once he solved all issues he got it back... So give it a try and you will be back inside pretty soon...

They linked me to quality and technical page...Maybe they don't think I have enough content or quality of content?

The thing that pisses me off is they never give you a clear answer, they just said at this moment we can no longer include you in google news at this time.

Does G require a "www." before the domain name or was it that you submitted your sitemap with the "www." but did not in fact have it on the url?

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but if anyone has an idea of what someone may pay for a site that has been approved to Google News, I'd like to hear from you.

I submitted my site without the www., I overlooked it and didn't even notice till I couldn't get the google site map to work that you have to add after the site gets accepted.

So I emailed them back in the confirmation email where they told me congratulations your site was approved to google news index or whatever, and 3 days later they replied saying thanks for your note, but I am sorry to say we will no longer have your site indexed in google news at this time, but you will be in search engine.

My heart sank, I worked so long and hard on the site and they just decided to change their mind and remove me. :(

Be persistent, yet polite, and ask them again "Could you please be a bit more specific as to why my site was categorised as unsuitable, so I could improve its quality and get rid of the shortcomings over the time!"
P.S. I wish we could take a look at your site. Would make advising you tad easier.

Why did your site not work? Didnt www.yourdomain... show the same content as yourdomain... without www? If so you should check your settings with your registrar or hoster.

Second you should learn to redirect your pages with www. to the same page without www or the opposite. And use a 301-redirect. This way you dont have the same site in index with the same content. If you dont do this it can happen that some pages are indexed with www and some without.

Third you should learn about the canonical-meta-tag. There you can specify to searchengines what url is the real url. For example regardless of Get-Values or subdomains.

I only say that next time you probably wont need to contact google because of this...

thanks for the info, but I am not really familiar with computer stuff just marketing and article writing.

the thing is the google sitemap that I was adding to my wordpress wasnt working becasue when I submit my site it didnt have www. Should I just continue writing articles and resubmit it in a few weeks? Or do you think they black listed me and have me marked down as NEVER INDEX this site?

It sucks cause I aint even a spam site, and there are thousands of spam sites on google news with shitty quality and unreadable pages, but they are still up. It is just weird they would remove me after asking a question lol

I dont know how to reindex. Maybe try the tricks in the thread where they spoke about beating the sandbox? Maybe this will help to rank you again.
