google maps and more about this place

I have been ranking high for my local business on the first page of google and also in the top 10 local business maps.

I am now getting lower in each, I did some looking at the other google maps of the different similar business and I have noticed when I click on the area "more about this place" there are several links to different sites which are articles or just local search engine sites.

The interesting thing is that the same links appear on different competitors website in the same area of "more about this place", even though the articles and information has to do with the competition.

Any ideas what is going on and how I can also add these same links into my google maps "more about this place"

They are citations and help a lot ranking for G local. My advice would be simply mimic the sites that they're getting citations from. In my area, Judybook, insider pages and citysearch are the sites that Google pulls from the most.
