So, I get one of those dreaded emails : Unnatural inbound links.

I got this for a new site, just a few weeks old, not doing much on it.

So, I checked on Google Webmaster Tools.

Checked "Links to My Site", and GWT tells me that "No data available."
Checked "Manual Actions", and GWT tells me that "No manual webspam action found."

I will wait for a few days, and then lodge a reconsideration solely because Google fails to show me what kind of links that makes my site get penalized.
I can disavow my links using links I can see on ahrefs, but it is giving Google an easy way out from their stupid algorithm.

Matt Cutts always tell us to check your "links to my site" and whack it with a machete to weed out bad links, while failing to show any links.
    Thoughts?

That's the point... Google doesn't want to tell you. They are basically crowd sourcing their anti-spam because their algorithm sucks and can't seem to do it on their own.

They didn't make the disavow tool to help us, they did it because they trick webmasters into saying "HEY GOOGLE SPAM SITE OVER HERE!", essentially we do their job for them.
