    Hello BHW,

I have worked the last year in a niche that used to be completely saturated by spam until a few years ago, and remains very competitive. It's well known that this industry's sites are manually reviewed as the competition is in the same league as 'payday loans' and such.

A couple weeks ago, my site saw a sudden increase in ranking for the main keyword, as well as all the secondary keywords. Our organic visits quintupled overnight. Link building had been stopped for over a month, and all links are as white hat as links can get - manually contacting webmasters and asking them to link to a good page, every single one.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I have a hunch that for really competitive niches a site cannot rank until it PASSES a manual review. If you have experience doing white hat in well-monitored industries, please let me know if you have seen something similar before. People who respond and say things like "that might be the case" or "that's probably not what happened" will add no value to this thread, and I kindly ask them not to submit their replies.

    Cheers.

Not necessarily a manual review or something, some of their updates seem to revive sites that people had no hopes in. But there does seem to be a period of wait involved before sites get actual rankings. And this is not the same with all sites either.

I would disagree, Google has algorithms for a reason. Having humans review certain niches like this is extremely unlikely. They do however have search analysts that review SERP results for quality assurance reasons but my guess is this just helps them balance the algorithm changes they use and to determine if they are worthwhile or not.

My guess is that with some recent blog network deindexing and guest blogging crackdowns that the competitors in your niche got penalties, probably a lot of penalties. In turn that pushed your site up since so many of their quality links were deindexed and or penalized. Not to mention the manual penalties they probably received.

    Hi,

Infact you don't need a S/W for this. just copy paste the content in Doc and replace it with white space with "^P" now all your element in row will be split in to seperate line, just copy the content paste it in excel and click the arrange by ascending, you get all your link from row starting with "H" as all url start with "http"
