For days now when i try and use this tool i get the following message

To use Keyword Planner, you need to have at least one active campaign. If you have an active campaign and are still seeing this message, try reloading Keyword Planner in a few minutes.

It just doesnt want to work for me at all. Any idea how to get round this?

Or is there other good keyword tools i can use?

I don't think you need a campaign to use it, cuz i don't have one and i'm usinig it so.. Anyway if you still get stuck you can use keywordtool.io aswell to find your keyword ideas.

Create a campaign - The campaign doesn't need to be active.

I'm not 100% sure it'll work for you, but if it doesn't, let me know and I'll help you out.

I don't think so, because without campaign we can use it. If you still face that problem, use some other tool. Orelse try it in some other browser. Some of the tools you can use Keywordtool.io instead of keywordplanner

Like what the other guys/gals have mentioned, you don't need to have an active campaign to use Google's Keyword Planner. I'm using it when I gather keywords for my clients who need keywords for their SEO-based articles. By the way, you may want to try storybase.com, too.

No, you don't need to run a paid campaign. Google's Keyword Planner is for free.
