Google Keyword Tool showing blank data for major keyword phrases

Can some of you guys verify this for me please ?

Check your own keywords with the tool as I'm getting "-" where there would once be thousands of searches

An example is "mens jewellery" the report is coming back with "-" as the returned data.

The tool is working fine.

That's because the term: mens jewellery has very low average search volume and is just one way of spelling that term.

I think you need to define what you mean by 'major' keyword phrases.
