    This is fantastic!

Google is taking no interest in my site what so ever. I'm consistantly pinging, building backlinks.. etc.

    Am I sandbox?

How big is your site? If it is not too small then maybe your domain is blacklisted.

Are you not getting indexed or not rising in the serps?

do you mean you can find only 1 serp (your homepage) but nothing else? If that so may be you haven't create a sitemap and submit it to google webmaster.

Or maybe you have a site done once, leave it for a while it get indexed already, you then update the site but the serp for your site isn't updated? If this happend may be it's just because the content considered as "suplemental page" wich is considered nothing more than trash this happend a lot on auto generated content (may be because just I dont have a luck in autoblog) like in my chase I create 2 autoblog and the serp never updated so I just leave it.

    Code:
    http://insuredinsurance.blogspot.com
    http://deepstress.blogspot.com

    Again this is just IMHO

every time I try and create a site map via automatic genertor, they say "broken links" or "incorrect paths" even though it all links up right.

Are you using web 2.0 (it can be blog or jomla or other platform), or static html?

If you are using a web 2.0 properties, then you can just edit your robots.txt for your sitemap to your feed like this
    Code:
    Sitemap: http://www.yoururl.com/feed
Or if you are using static html make sure all the link from every pages is not broken (it hapend sometime) and create a page called sitemap.html recording all hierarcial links like this

    homepage
    - page 1
    - page 1a
    - page 1b
    - page 1c
    -page 2

and so on ... and make a link from you homepage to that sitemap (most of the time this is enough)

and also make sure that your website is crawable, this mean you allow search engine to crawl your website,

There is an example serp of my blog that i dissalow google search to index my page and it resulted like this :

    Code:
    site:boatingdream.blogspot.com
I use this blog to test howmuch I can post on blogger in 1 day before i get capcha'ed and how much it needs to get banned lol :)

If your serp resulted like this search result then you have to make sure your robots.txt allow google to index your page get rid any of this meta tag
    <meta name="ROBOTS" content="NOINDEX,NOFOLLOW" />

and make sure your robots.txt do not dissallow the bot, if you using wordpress check your privacy setting again.

Set up Google webmaster and check your crawl rate, etc. Might give you some valuable info.
