If you access one of the most famous black hat link provider's site and open the page source you'll see it is using several google trackers on there. That's ok we all know that, BUT. There's a new detail now: the javascripts are being loaded from www.google.com not from www.googleapis.com....

What does that mean? It means that if you're logged into any google.com service, they now get all your cookies. You are *personally* tagged. If you searched for anything and didn't clear cookies, and then you access a 100% black hat link site, your history is tagged to that black hat link site forever. And if that same account happens to have webmaster tools access: every single site in there will be flagged for review....

I'm not gonna name names, but if you are a half-decent black hat SEO with the IQ of a hamster, you probably know what I'm talking about. Also: this isn't specific to any link service, this applies to ANY black hat seo service. Use your brains. If you got penalized recently and you bought black hat link services: this is probably how they got you.

PS. Now, I wonder why a black hat link provider has google trackers on their site. Also: why do some link providers use Gmail for sales? If these aren't honeypots, then it's one helluva an amateur giveaway.

and this is just a tip of an iceberg, they track everything and anything that is humanly and technically possible. Be smart while dealing with BH stuff and G services on same computer.

I just checked one more thing. Check this out:

    Connection keep-alive
    Host www.google.com
    Referer http://www.youtube.com/embed/VIDEOCODEWASHERE?feature=player_detailpage
So the embedded Youtube video redirected to www.google.com and loaded from there.... Every single Google embeddable thingy is now redirecting to www.google.com .... Lots of people block googleapis and other hosts, but nobody blocks www.google.com ....

It doesn't get anymore blatant than this.

I never understood why BHW service providers used gmail for.
Bit ignorant if you ask me.

This really sucks if you manage perfectly white hat projects that you incorporate with Google services, but also do blackhat work as well... The real question is are they really doing anything will all of this aggregate data that can results in anyone getting penalized? Anyone happen to work at G?

The laser precision strikes they did against Anglo Rank, SEO Envy and others do raise the possibility that they use it. I can't prove it, but I'm 99% sure they do. It's pretty much just handed to them: you're a webmaster with sites on webmaster tools and you're visiting ACME LINKS...there is no valid reason to be at ACME LINKS really, it's smoking gun.

I feel sorry for average folks who have no clue how much of their private data is being collected by Google.

Information is Google's business, guess we didn't think they'd stoop to basing their business around personal information too :(

Its a really sneaky way for google to get around adblocking etc. I block almost all the google tracking in the host file but blocking google.com would be a step too far.

basically they are saying if you want to use google.com then we are going to track you.

Im surprised more isn't being made of the cookie access point though as thats shady as fuck and I hope it tips some data protection law somewhere for google.
