    Hi,

I host every image at every article on my site, myself. And i would like to know if theres a way to get some bad-ass rankings in Google Image results. I host images gaming related, so i think i might be able to get higher in there. I already have every image with an alt-tag, which is the title of the post.

    Any ideas?

I've been wondering about optimizing google images. Now if you search oxonbeef on google images (ignore the oxo beef suggestion) my avatar is shown first (oxonbeef GIF blackhatworld.com).
I use that same avatar on many forums with the same nic so my conclusion at the moment is the ranking of the image is related to the ranking of the site they are hosted on.

ever think of going and studying the top results? Type in boobs and study the first 20. You'll have a good idea of what it takes to rank

Makes no sense whatsoever when there are 10 million images for the same keyword.
That's what I did and came up with my conclusion. alt-tag an unrelated image and place it on a high ranking site and you'll see what I mean.

I've managed to get images ranked for very competitive keywords on a crap domain.

Monetizing such rank, that has eluded my grasp.

monetizing google images traffic is notoriously difficult. It can be a great way to burn through bandwidth though :)
