I've put the survey widget of caplead on one of my websites, PR2 8th position in google, and 2 days afterwards google removed the PR and sent me 70 positions down.

ok, I started suspecting, so I added the same cpa code to another website of mine also PR2, baam! PR removed and I've been sent way down again.

I removed the offers from both the sites, now it's a week after, they returned to their original search positions but no PR yet.

Did any of you encounter this problem?
How am I supposed to earn money from traffic if google demotes me for cpa offers?

Haven't had that problem yet.

My suggestion would be to link from the website that's ranking high and doesn't contain the widget to another website of yours which will contain the widget. That way you won't have the widget on your high ranking site.

i don't think so, if you using adwords you should to change your keywords technics!
 
Thats really weird and haven't heard of that yet. There are so many sits running CPA offers but never heard of that..
 
stop showing google your widget? then who cares what they think about it.

the cloaking section here on BHW is a good place to start to learn about it. all though I've never had this happen (never used c p a lead but w/ pops and other annoying adverts I've had zero problems keeping rank)

If you've got CPAL*ad on the pages ranked (ie. the content blocker is right on the page being ranked) then I think there is definitely a connection.

The reason may be because you are "inhibiting the user's experience".

Think about it from Google's point of view:

They have people using searching for certain things, and then the websites on the first page all of content blockers that are stopping the user from seeing the content that's on the page.

They could see it as threatening the user experience and therefore something that could possibly effect their hold on the market share if this got outt of hand.

but what i did was use one of those ajax popups.. the ones that cant be blocked to popup after 10 seconds and within it was my cpa offer..

had that up for a month and that did not hurt my rankings

most likely, there could be a lot of reasons why you google slapped your site. My guess is that the craplead widget is blocking google spiders and it's can't crawl your site. Unlike popups or ad boxes, craplead keeps pple from seeing the site.

I personally wouldn't have put craplead on one of my sites that rely on pr and google for traffic....but put it on a black hat site site traffic to (youtube, social sites, my high traffic white hat site ;) )
 
My guess would be that there was some kind of load time or content accessibility difficulty connected to the CPA Lead Gateway.

It's also all too possible that they simply recognized the code and triggered a -50 style penalty.

The best way to know would be to obfuscate or cloak the code on the original site, and slap the basic code on another strong site and see what develops.
