    Just read : searchenginewatch.com/article/2253665/Want-to-Rank-in-Google-Build-Your-Author-Rank-Now

What are your guys thoughts on this?

    It says:
Within search results, information tied to verified online profiles will be ranked higher than content without such verification, which will result in most users naturally clicking on the top (verified) results. The true cost of remaining anonymous, then, might be irrelevance."

Irrelevance? Wow! That's a strong statement.

Here is the message: If you want your content to rank in Google, build your author authority ("Author Rank") now. Google hasn't taken this position solely to create a binary signal (got a profile, you're good; no profile, you aren't). How much authority you have as an author is going to be a big deal.

I hope this is just some bullshit. Otherwise we will all have to factor in for the profile bullshit.

That first part of the quote was from Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt

The concern being that any back linking methods are now going to just count if coming from verified sources is huge, this is a game changer for ranking methods.

Heh, another way of saying, add google plus profiles to sites. Unless in competitive space, could care less right now.
