Google gave me my adsense account back (they may give new ones out)

I am new here so apologise in advance. I am just putting down here something that happened to me with Google and adsense. It may help others (it is also a bit long and has a lot of detail) or it may not.

the back story is that quite a few years ago I bought some RON of network traffic for a website I was running. The traffic quality is fine and came from one of the big supplies to websites like CNN. The problem I had is that one day they did not throttle the traffic and I suddenly got hit with a few thousand simultaneous hits on my website and a massive increase in clicks. This upset Google and they blocked the account. I moved on and not bothered with it since.

A few weeks ago i was trying to get a website accepted for Google News and it was a bit of a pain. I then discovered that there are two different programs for Google News. These are 'Publisher' and 'producer'. The one that everybody knows about is Publisher.

I decided to also set up on Google Producer at the same time. The differences between the two are:
1. It is much easier to get into Google News Producer than Publisher.
2. Once you have had your account accepted for Google News Producer you can use it to create as many 'magazines' as you like.
3. Google monetises these producer editions with adsense. When I created my Google News Producer account, it listed my old (blocked) Adsense publisher account as active.
4. if I logged into adsense with my old email address that I was using at the time I got banned, it said the account was blocked. If I logged in using my new email address it said the account was fine and asked me to:

• Verify my website which I did
• Add an ads.txt file to my website which I did
• I ran ads on the Google News Producer website fine
• I ran ads on my verified website which ran fine.
• Once I was over the threshold I was sent a card by google to Verify my physical address which I did
• They are now asking me for my bank details so they can pay me £90 for the last two weeks earnings.
• I have been able to verify three websites for Google Adsense.
• I can also set up multiple Google News Producer websites
• And my website was finally accepted for Google News publisher.

I have not needed to test what happens if you have been banned and are applying for a new adsense account. I suspect that it will treat it as a new application and reject it. But by creating a Google News Producer account I was able to re-activate my old Adsense account under a different email address and use it.

to set up a Google News Producer 'magazine' you need.

1. chrome browser
2. Gmail account (or you can take another email address and register it as a Google email address.)
3. A website with an RSS feed activated
4. register on Google news producer
5. create your edition (it pulls in your RSS feed)
6. select your Adsense account and set the fill rate to 100% to Google

The 'magazine/edition' you publish has to be verified by Google. This takes a couple of days and is not as strict as their News Publisher. You also don't have to have 'News'. They want good quality content with lots of images and photos.

Once your edition is accepted and gone live, you can also log into adsense and start to add websites their as normal.

You can also create multiple producer 'magazines' so if for example you have 10 categories on one website you could create a magazine for just one or two of the categories. You can also add more domains (you have to verify you own them)

I never thought it was either, and I had not hidden anything from google. I am using my same name, the email account I use is tied back to the original gmail account as a recovery email. I changed my address a couple of years ago, that is all that has changed.

Basically I registered for google Producer and started to create an edition and when I clicked on the ads tab, it had my old adsense account there. Then once I had created the edition and it had been accepted, t started running ads and I went into adsense and verified a number of websites. I then added an ads.txt file to each one and Google posted a card to my address for me to verify my address. that was it.

I think the glitch is because Google force monetisation on the Newsstand/Producer edition you build, and they need an adsense account for them to do it (check out the attachment).

Did you used recovery email of adsense account to apply for google producer or you used new gmail account.
