Google first page for one of my websites

For a keyword which wasn't optimized.

Using the Google Keyword Tool, this keyword has 14,000 searches a month and low-medium competition.

There are less than 50 backlinks to this website and I am surprised. Any ideas why it can rank first page?

Also this is not the root domain, it is a page within the website.

How do I make other pages rank as high?

As the keyword is of medium competition you are ranking high.. Just check your Domain Authority.. if it is greater... then you can rank high for other pages also.. (proper links are always needed)

That website has PR0, fairly new website with minimum optimization. That page which was on first page has a unique article with the keyword or part of it repeated many times. I think it's density is probably like 6-9%.

Question, does the length of the article make any difference? There are some other articles with keywords of low competition but they never got first page.

Keyword density does not make a big difference, but it is a good practice to maintain about 5-7% keyword density.. But you can rank very well without that also (just repeat the keywords 2 or 3 times)

The length of the article does not make any difference but for readers satisfaction, it should be about 200 words in length..

I checked the keyword density today using SEOquake. It is only 1.3%. Comparing this page to others, they seem to have quite similar keyword density and length of article.

So why is this page in particular ranked first page on Google?

Also, please I must know, is the page your ranking for have a lot of content? what is the total word count using that tool i linked? Does the rest of your site have density for this term? whats your total page index?

whats the KW in the first place - if its long and unique - its not difficult

What kind of keyword tool are you using? Google's tool is limited. You need to see backlinks to page, to domain, PR age, etc. I use Market Samurai. I love it but that's just me. Not trying to sell anything here.

Google Shuffle is what I call it personally. (Others call Google Shuffle something else)

It's when your homepage hasn't been properly indexed for the keyword that you are trying to rank for.

Continue building links back to your homepage, and Google will rank it accordingly.

Google Shuffle doesn't last that long before things are in order.

This particular page has been ranking first page on google the whole of last month, does a shuffle last that long?

What is the keyword tool you are using?if so i will also try to implement dude,thanks in advance...

I am not a dude, and I wasn't using any tool to rank this particular page first page in google.

It just did. That is the whole point of this thread.

I checked for the keyword using Google's Keyword tool, it shows 18k global monthly searches with low to medium competition.

This keyword consists of 3 words, and most other extended variations of this keyword ranks in first page as well. Some in top 3.

I need to know why or how this could happen, so that I can apply the same techniques to the other pages.

surely you must have some idea about what you did right?
