I got an email from Click Ban*k which said to respond immediately, google emailed them saying I was hijacking accounts(they didn't even mention u tube, which was what the complaint was about) OMG I am scared, click bank said "respond to this immediately to prevent deactivation of your account." I cant get banned from click bank that is my main source of income!

Tip to people who promote on youtube- always use your own accounts, NEVER use real people's accounts. or else Google will get pissed off at you!

Click Ba*nk owes me $5K+ right now, so if my account gets deleted, then I am screwed out of $5k.

I love CB, I can't have my account banned! I will cry if it does....

You should be lucky if you only lose 5k from 'hijacking' accounts.

Start off by thanking them for bringing this to your attention and that you have received other negative feedback concerning the campaign.

Tell them you outsourced some promotions to India and you started to get an uneasy feeling before you even got the emails.

Tell them you do not plan to use the Indian service any longer, it was not a good fit for your organization.

Why do folks stay so dependent on Google services, considering the number of times we hear IMers say "I was doing fine, until G did something" or changed policy. If Gmail ratted you out to CL, why not simply modify things so that you don't use Gmail with your affiliate marketing?

There is a simple code to live by when people try to fuck you over (even if you were the one to commence the initial fucking). Is it morally or ethically sound? Perhaps not. Does it work? Absolutely, especially offline.

    1. Lie

You flat out tell these bitches that you have no idea what they are talking about. Example: I didn't do it, ClickBank. Obviously, you are going to have to come up with something a lot more brilliant than the aforementioned example.

    2. Deny

Similar to lying but with one important differentiation. You may or may not have participated in questionable activities but if you did you do not recall. Example: I don't recall employing the techniques you describe.

    3. Demand Proof

Can they prove you, yourself did it? Example: Now ClickBank, I value our business relationship and would never conduct myself in such a manner. As you have seen over the months/years we have worked together, our business relationship has flourished without a hitch. I recently outsourced some of my marketing campaigns to X company. If questionable tactics were employed by them, I apologize on their behalf and will cease and desist further business with them.

    4. Make Counter Accusations

Displace blame by pointing the finger at others. Example: I didn't realize said tactic was not considered permissable. I learned the tactic from (insert some bullshit reputable site).

Hope this made you at least smile, TIH.

Also I have a sad update. Google emailed a second time and said I didn't stop although I did! I am pissed. So ClickB*ank deactivated my account. I wrote a message back to CB and requested that I call them on the phone. All because I f'd up using tube automator, what a shame. I hope this gets resolve because I have thousands of clickbank links up which I cant change, and those links not making me any money will cost me tons of cash.

    Curious,

I just found this forum while researching affiliate promotional strategies, and noticed this hijacking topic with CB. Funny, but I have been having problems for ages with me being the one hijacked, so how is this being done, and why doesn't CB fix the problem rather than just suspend accounts only when someone is caught.

    Thanks, Mike

Using other peoples REAL accounts is NOT cool, in my book.......

    Make your own accounts up.....

I would be very pissed off if you STOLE my account information and used it to make money or even worse got my account deleted for your actions.

To me, this is not BH at all.

This borders on true fraudulent behavior.

It is one thing to make up your own fake accounts and entirely another to steal someone else's.......

The reason that you are getting the email is not because you "bent" the rules, you flat out broke them....

Use your OWN accounts and if they get deleted or banned faster, so what?

You are NOT committing true fraud at that point are you? You might be breaking someone's TOS, but that is part of the "bending" of the rules.

If I were you, I would STOP breaking the law, and you won't have that much to worry about.

Sorry if I sound harsh, but in my book, stealing other peoples accounts IS criminal behavior and has nothing to do with BH!

I wish you well and hope that you re-consider how you are getting your accounts. It really is not worth it to go to jail over.......

And we should not call this "Hijacking" it is FRAUD, in the truest sense.

Frankly, I think threads that even condone FRAUD should be quickly deleted or locked by the admin........stuff like this is why some people associate BH with CRIME!

One had nothing to do with the other.

Ditto to that. I've got more than a few Gmail and YouTube accounts to do my dirty work. The last thing you should be doing is hijacking others' accounts. You SHOULD go to jail if you're doing that crap. Imagine how you would feel if someone hijacked YOUR Gmail account. I can tell you that it's a major hassle to get them back. Google won't even look into the problem for 3-5 days after you tell them. By then, you could lose almost everything, names, passwords, sensitive info and the like. I HATE people who hijack.

I'm not a lawyer but I don't think they could just close your account AND keep your money unless they planned on refunding all the sales you made or filing a lawsuit.

I know there are TOS that may say something like this but legally I don't think the TOS can say anything it wants (e.g. we can close your account for any reason and never pay you), I doubt that would hold up in court and if it did you would just counter sue them anyway for defrauding you.

Love how clickbank responds to a google complaint in 2 seconds, I reported some fraud of an affiliate 6 months ago, 3 times and they never got back to me.
