Hi guys, I don't know if anybody opened a thread about this, but just want to let you know what I found out.

I know that you guys probably are using services that offer "set and forget", but i found out that after panda they bring more trouble then rankings.

I have 5 sites in my new project that I want to rank, one was ranked before the panda update and it's still there, but others are dancing.

Then I made a test for 7 days. One site had random number of backlinks, forum profiles and other SEO services a day, and the other site had a fixed number (like 20 every day for 7 days).

The first site with random number got ranked positively, the second one with the fixed number of daily backlinks is still dancing from #2 to #14 position.

They have the same competition and same settings, so it must be the problem in the automated backlinking service.

I stoped all of my automated backlinking services and from now on am doing only random numbers with them, every day. No more "every day 10 links set for 30 days and forget" for me.

What is the domain age for both sites? Did you use the same backlink methods for both sites during that 7 days?

Not all backlink are indexed at the same time, so you can't really talk of a test here. We should look at other variable around this. Tool used VS Manual backlinking, service used, on which kind of website those backlinks were done etc...

Opened the same day, same number of content, backlinks and methods.

I don't know if that's the main reason, but just wanted to share

I think that is NOT very very important.

But "10 links per day" or "not more 20 links per day" it's a strange method))

Automation really has nothing, and i mean nothing to do with it. Where you will find trouble is what kind of backlink your site is getting juice from. If there is anything Panda has taught the seo community it is that the Pr4, Pr5 and Pr6 authority sites where you can get homepage backlinks is more than King right now..it's really a powerplay for the rankings.

Not saying that profile and blog links aren't worth it..they are, to some extent and i'll continue to use my tools. But I've diversified like crazy in my backlinking to include not just the tried and trues, but i'm finding the backlinks of my competitors and going after the premium sites to emulate what they're doing as well.

Anything thing you do that leaves a pattern or a footprint is a problem. Even if you do it manually but leave a linking pattern it will create a problem.

if you blast you can build links to your manual made backlinks etc, not only directly to money site. there are lots of possibilities how you can combine different types of links

Should be content edit: Google does not like non-relevant automated backlinks. I've seen some people create backlinks that are absolutely horrible, spammy, non-relevant backlinks.

You have to make them look organic as possible, and always relevant to the site you are building backlinks for.

I have a large number of sites, and noone of them has been affected by Panda.

And hey.. they are all blasted, no manual backlinking at all. So honestly, when people speak about Panda I have no idea what they are talking about.

Could be you have a bad content? And thats what affects you?

Manual built links are always better. But you should have the time or money to do it...
