i believe there is an ongoing google dance right now. my sites started changing pages in the serps like crazy and even hourly. at noon i was 2nd page for one keyword 3rd page for another one, now im 3rd page for the first one and 1st page for the second one. and many other keywords are changing positions since 2-3 days. do you guys see the same going on right now or it is isolated event?

yep, same happening to me. I was stable before at the first 3 position then I did xrumer blast. Ever since my site been dancing at around 400 to 600. I don't think I'm gonna use xrumer on that site.

Definately a LOT of movement happening in general in the SERPS at the moment. I honestly think its got something to do with iPad vs non iPad friendly sites as well as google playing with some new ways of showing results (im not 100% sure but i think they are ranking results differently to some extent based on the time of day past a certain position i.e. some times of day / week its all website links, some times their are more active blog or twitter links showing in the results, sometimes videos) also the PR updates etc.

Something to keep a close eye on over the next week.

47 sites that weren't on page one for their core phrases are now on page one.

    dance indeed.

You know the deal, they'll flip it upside down tomorrow. Gotta have something to talk about on monday morning, right?

I kinda expect to keep those sites where they are. A lot of legit work went into them and good linking strategies.

Yes. Noticed that too. All new serp's for some of my keywords too.

They're definitely testing something out, just trying to figure it out.

Yeah, I can see some correlation here also. Although perhaps not as fresh as you might be experiencing.

1 new article a week did well but also several a day were good with a spun/rewritten auto blog and original articles/posts.

I also see some good rankings for new sites that are about 2 week old, albeit for super micro niches.

So far this has been a good one for us. It looks like the last 18 months of churning out 130-150 quality micro niche sites per month has been paying off.

Yup, alot of my page 1 ranked websites, dropped to page 10+ when they've been stable for almost a year.

I agree, many of my clients sites have been removed from all SERPs except some phrases and site modifier.

Well something is definitely going on. I just had PR go up on a bunch of sites and moved to page one for some others. Hope it stays this way for a few weeks.

I just noticed that a whole set of new blogs I created a month ago, which had no pagerank at all, just received a pagerank for the first time. I know this because Ive been watching the pagerank almost daily as its a plugin in my chrome browser.

This may have something to do with it.

so basically what we can assume -> what it does right now is removing old sites (probably static pages) and putting brand new ones (blogs) and giving high PR to blogs. is that right? maybe google is trying to show a more web 2.0 point of view?

Yeah - pages are up and down - and PR has changed.
