WTF ... Google Adsense is showing me even I'm on a dating site or porn site ads with FOREX .. Yeah I got it google saved some cookies that I own few forex sites and I'm doing forex searches on google BUT to show me everywhere ads with forex is like controlling me ..
Isn't this a privacy issue?!?:(:o:eek:

lol .. it gets worse if you use gmail as well ..
In a few years' time, google will know more about you than yourself ... lol
 
Same for me.
When I search something, then a few days later I see those specific ads everywhere.
 
Never encountered anything like this YET, but google is turning into big brother lol.
Good for them as a company, you have to envy their strategy. Get as much info
about 80% of the population as you can (free to boot), and market towards them
directly.

This is a very old issue. Try to clear your cookies and access google via proxy (e.g. via Tor network). Just observe what kind of ads you will see then.

Actually this is a very old issue (I remember to read such opinions 10 years ago, too). Now at least Google gives you apparently a choice to accept or to decline data collection, whenever you install a Google toolbar.

It is every marketer's dream to give personalized ads to each customer according to the customer's field of interest.

I wouldn't say this is black hat, hence black hat is about playing flexibly with the rules, while Google seems to be that, who makes the rules.

It's interesting, while search engines frown upon presentation of different content to different kind of visitors (a.k.a cloaking), but big search engine companies do offer to visitors an optional "personalized home page". Black hat cloakers also offer a "personalized" version of content to spiders, as spiders like , and another "personalized" version of content to other kind of visitors. The challenge is how to do this in a way to avoid penalties in SERPs, even though some search engine company's clerk would visit your page.

Well I still think is black hat as ADSENSE is all about delivering ADS related to SITE'S Content .. Isn't this what webmasters work hard for ?!

Man, how cool would that be for our sites? Someone visits your site, after that, every site they visit on the web, your banner appears! F*ck it, how about your cookies on every site they visit? I'd become rich, buy Google, and fire the whole damn company! I'd rule the world!!

Errr, sorry, momentary lapse of reason....
