Google Cites Scholarship Links in a Manual Action Penalty

This one didn't surprise me that much, but it's the first time that I've seen a manual penalty for this tactic talked about publicly. Like many tactics that Google penalizes for, scholarships are a genuinely good thing for a company to do if they're legitimate. But if it's clear that you're doing it just for links and Google sees it, they'll press the penalty button.

I was doing these links right up about the time when I saw my links next to casino "scholarships" and vaping "scholarships.. That's when you know the links will hardly help at all
