In this video, https://youtu.be/QPh3T7oemxM?t=683 that if Google sees a lot of user-generated links on a site & it believes the site owner isn’t aware of what’s happening. Google’s algorithms can learn to ignore all links on the site to be on the safe side.

This is not something most sites would have to worry about buy say you have a site with a huge user-generated content (UGC) section where spammers are quite actively building outbound links and you don’t follow them. There is a chance that Google might think that the webmaster is not aware of what is going on and will choose to ignore links from the site and if they can’t effectively figure out which sections are UGC they may choose to ignore all links from the site ( not sure if internal links will be ignored as well).

Why do content locking guys have to suffer everytime :(
Google hates CPA marketers because they can't do anything about it. CPA is evolving at a much faster rate than Google algo. They managed to control it to some extent as we see less pdfs for game hacks these days. The current update blocks massive spreading of parasites.

For example, in August 2020, some people found a way to create accounts in World Health Organization and publish links. This is probably the biggest parasite as it ranked for game hacks, sports, movie downloads, clickbank etc. on first page within 2-3 days of posting. The current update will stop such sudden surge of links. The biggest challenge now is to find good parasites, create 20-30 pages and make money before it becomes public. The pros will keep finding ways to make money, but the newbies will struggle to see their first dollar.

I guess in the future they will ignore more and more backlinks. If you want to rank you will need backlinks from top tier websites.
One thing is sure: I still won't use Google ads. ha-ha-haaaa

And this goes to further validate my all-time, repeated statement

Go High Quality, or go home.

It's not hard to understand the formula to long-term success on the internet.

You can make a 'bang' with some corners cut and bag of tricks

But the people who want to be around 10 years from now, better keep their tactics clean.

Simple. Simple. Simple way to success. Yet some people will still try the 'but but but what if' thoughts that they think will be too slick to catch.

Ah oh well................. another updated, I'm unphased by.

No way, there are so many good pdfs indexed that the spammed ones are not that big of a deal
Algorithms don't work like that. They detect anomalies and take action. If people are constantly uploading 10 pdfs a day in an edu site, then it won't be a problem. But if suddenly the site gets flooded with hundreds of pdfs, then all pdfs of that site lose their ranks. If there is no way for users to upload pdfs to a site, then Google won't take any action on existing pdfs of the site.

You pretty much summed it up @Starblazer :)
