I had an old account that was linked to a number I no longer have access to. Tried to contact them so many times in the past but no luck. Even bought the number back and tried to get the codes on it (as I’d forgotten the password) and it still wouldn’t let me log in. But they have the time to purge old accounts. I guess it’s goodbye.

Bummer. Logging into multiple accounts from the same computer is a pain if I remember right. Same for logging into one account across multiple computers. In any case it's gonna be a pain logging in to old accounts now.

AFTER changing its policy regarding inactive accounts, Google can now delete accounts that have been inactive for at least two years. The change applies from today but Google will not start deleting accounts until December.

Make sure you update your seldom used accounts.

I cant believe it

Thanks for the information. Wasn't aware of that. That's sad.. but that's maybe for ecology :D

So sad to see one of my two most favourite companies go through this to be honest. Seems like Google is going through a bad patch, and they are reiterating on the expenses. Really hope they survive this.

Edit: Guys and girls, I know you think Google is rich. But that money can go in the drain in a week, because of how much invested they are already. Perhaps take some $1 service from them.. like a one-drive sub or an yt sub... these are pretty useful anyway.

If google dies, the whole point of doing SEO will die... atleast for now, until we see another platform that can work for us.

But do you get the same traffic as you get from Google (Google isn’t fighting the other SE competition. They don’t exist in terms of market. .. It is fighting ai answers without any credit)? Would you survive if chatgpt takes over this market(you’ll only get the bot visits, not actual users if chatgpt takes over)? Think twice may be lol. It is trickier than you think. :D

Time for my Pornhub account to get deleted now since I haven't logged into it for the last 3-4 years ig
