My son had a great business online built through 100% content and great on-page SEO. He has now bombed in Google due to hundreds of porn links to his content writing service. He is doing his best through disavow etc but I would love to trace the people who did this through Fiverr or whatever other dumb method. Any ideas or just give up before I start?
    Cheers

Your son was the victim of negative SEO. Disavowing porn-links is actually easy because they stand out, if the attacker had any idea of what he was doing he'd have taken your relevant keywords.

You will never find out who did it, it is impossible.

Don't bother trying to find the culprit, that would take alot of time and it's near impossible to do. Yes, just disavow the links and watch what happens.

It's called negative SEO - aka stupid haters (competitors or stay-at-home douche bags) taking pleasure seeing everyone fall than try to rise above everyone. It happens on Youtube as well - they bloody well just start flagging your videos until it's taken down!

It could have been anyone, but the advice above is solid. Use the disvow tool and try to get back all of the rankings. Finding the person that did it will be impossible and truly not worth the effort. Even if you did find them, what would transpire next?

Obviously he would send him (perpetrator) an email to show his disappointment.

Don't even waste your time. It means one thing - his competition is scared!
my advise would be to make 3 new sites, private Whois, then start ranking all 3 in stages - if they wipe another one out, you have more ready to go and almost ranked.

let them waste ALL there resources trying to wipe your son's site out, while he spends his time ranking and making money.
