Curlup Barefoot and Abacus got me far worse than Panda.

The fact that this is a sentence though makes my job the best.

I got screwed by "Cosmos Newsy", bitten by "Lice" and slapped by the "Panda"

    Interesting.

I found this to be very significant as the last update they sent out they said they had turned off a signal they had been using to evaluate links and they might of just told us what that was...

"Tweaks to handling of anchor text. [launch codename "PC"] This month we turned off a classifier related to anchor text (the visible text appearing in links). Our experimental data suggested that other methods of anchor processing had greater success, so turning off this component made our scoring cleaner and more robust."

Now we just need to figure out what "other methods" means, and we are back on top...

PC was also one I was wondering about, my guess is that this was closely aligned to the "anchor text" analysis update that was rolled out earlier this month.

My guess is that Google's going to start weighing "relevance" of backlinks as a big indicator in the near future, if they haven't already with this update.

Has anyone taken a huge dive in the rankings lately that WASN'T using a blog network, but that had links coming from all sorts of unrelated sites?

I watched the video attached to the link and it was interesting to watch how google debates changes to the algo...I wish the video was of the debate for the "PC" update...now that would of been super interesting...
