What does Google have to say about content locks? If we have a site that is already ranked first page and we put one of those CPA Content Locks on the page that is ranked in Google it should stay ranked just as well as if it didn't have it right?

If somebody reported my site to Google for using this, would it in any way hurt me? Like is Google going to sandbox me for that specific term or are they okay with the initial page you go to by clicking on a result being one of these locks?

most people don't put it on their first page, and even more link to a different site with it.

one site for rankings, one site for gateway.

Google read the source code so it doesnt matter if you have a gateway or not.
