Ok guys , I've read some topics here when you claim that google doesn't like all of the blogs of a blogfarm to be on the same sever / same ip if they are interlinked.

So if I use some free hosting in order to setup blogs but I use THE SAME database server for all of them, will google catch me???

I have shared hosting from godaddy. Over 1000 websites are shared on that ip. What do you think google will do? Ban all websites just because you have 50 autoblogs ??? I dont think so.

No, they'll deindex or punish all the sites on that IP that are interlinking to each other heavily.

No, there's really not a way (for the most part) to tell what you're using for your database server.

If you interlink ya there is a risk.

Some people will go as far to say that google will look at whois info to determine wether you're interlinking between your own blogs.

So if you have multiple servers, google will check to see if its all the same owner.

It's not about how clever they are, per se, it's about what information is available to them. Unless they're exploiting a bug in your CMS somehow, or all your blogs are throwing an error that reveals the database server you're using, there's no way for them to know.

If we're talking purely about the database server, then it doesn't matter. That article looks like its talking about the external IP that the world gets to see, which is an entirely different matter.
