Google Analytics - A Bounce Rate Problem

Hi,

I'm having a very high bounce and exit rate (95-100%) but when I check my account on the affiliate platform I can still see many clicks and, more importantly, some good provision. How is that possible that people click my affiliate links and bouce at the same time? Every affiliate link opens a new tab if that's relevant.

Well maybe it's because when people click on the affiliate link, they also close your website. That is the only thing that explains for that high of a bounce rate, IMHO.

You could do a quick test for a few days and split the copy on the home page up into 2 pages so they have to click on a link to an internal page to read on and get to the good stuff. That will decrease the bounce rate because there will be more people clicking through to an internal page.

Which type of website you have? If you have any product base website so create target on products image and use affiliate between two products, don't use any popup window because it's leave bad effect on user.
