    Hi guys,

Just a question- Would it be possible that someone is able to remove a specific day of Google Analytic Traffic Data himself?

Yesterday, I just sent 3k visits to a client website, and I monitored everything myself.

It was clearly recorded close to 3k visits in GA by the end of the day. However, 8 hours later after I woke up (today morning) I saw 0 visits.

I suspect something fishy is going on. So the question is, is it possible for him to manipulate the data?

From my understanding, there is NO way to remove data like that.

However, he could've set filters to filter out those traffic so it wouldn't show in his chart / data. That is why different profiles on GA exist and its pretty much what it is for.

I assume when you guys said "manipulate', that is to increase traffic and play around with bounce rates and such, but definitely not removing...

Cool colors. Love them. That filter setting is actually quite obvious... there is nothing to hide, literally on and off sort of thing. I wouldn't quite classified it as manipulation. It's just to help you analyze data and making it easier to read.

Oh btw, is changing color a type of manipulation too then?

Thanks, I just understand alittle more about filters now.

However, if I am not an admin in the GA profile (just added as a user), I am unable to check what those filters are right?

If he filtered the traffic, only he would be able to see the data?

Or is there somewhere I can see the being filtered traffic?

Depends on your account permission/level. Just like anything else, each account can be read-only (all, or certain profiles) or full access and some other stuff.

For example, he could've assigned you to profile A (where it records ALL traffic), and later re-assign you to profile B (that has certain filters applied) today. I am just guessing here of course, but in theory, this can be done.
