John Mueller commented on outreach for link building:

That’s essentially the idea behind kind of natural linking.

From our point of view it’s fine to contact people and tell them it’s like by the way, I have this great content and… maybe it’s something that you would appreciate for your website.

That’s generally fine
.”

It's hard for Google to evaluate a website's popularity (as well as authority) without links. Backlinks are one of the key signals of the popularity of a website.

It doesn't matter whether they agree or disagree, backlinks are the single most important ranking factor. Without backlinks, Google doesn't exist. It's the only constant in their algorithm.

You are right. But this time, the person of Google officials agreed links are valuable. Especially quality links using quality content.

So google says don’t do backlinks then google says outreach backlinks are fine, lol I wish they appointment @bartosimpsonio to speak on their behalf because He would stick to a pattern and not constantly backtrack

Their SEO communiators jobs is to keep you all in the dark.

I've been saying it for ages now, SEO harms their bottom line. The more SEO is successful, the less money they make.

Google will NEVER present you with a valid SEO method.

When you follow all their rules, you're essentially working for them for free because they'll use your content on their SERPS. That's all they want with those "quality guidelines'". Quality my ass, adsense is the slowest component in ever website on the WWW.

Google is scraping and spamming the WWW freely with their ads while you work to conform to things they don't even conform to.

Seems like backlink building is one of the primary activity to get rank in this case. Well guyz, it is time for us to build more 'natural' backlinks.

In the near future the user experience will be the best to position the web pages. The most important thing is that google is a search engine that wants to offer users the best answer to what they are looking for.

Sounds like he tries to add: "But if they ask you to pay for posting a link on their website you should refuse, as it violates Google guidelines!"))

That's why rel=sponsored exists ;)

Just pure crap that would waste your time,
it really doesn't matter what Google staff does actually state, the only thing that you should be concerned about is what does actually work,
Of course, Google is *against* a set number of behaviours, but their algorithm would never have the ability to fully detect a PBN, Guest posts or even the usual web 2.0s, especially if they're built the right way
