Google Adwords Campaigns With No Landing Page?

I'm relatively new to adwords. I've noticed competing campaigns seem to link direct to the product page with url masking, without using one of their own landing pages. I always assumed you had to sent clicks to your own landing page with adwords. These people seem to be redirecting a domain and using url masking.

Is it worth me doing the same or will google just close my adwords account?

Maybe what you are looking at is an I frame.

You won't get shut down for this but eventually you'll be priced out of the game.

If I hit a niche I believe in, I usually (99% of the time) start with the I frame method and let it ride for a couple of weeks to see what happens within the niche. If I am attracting traffic, maybe not big sales, but traffic, then I will take the time to build a landing page and put the time into the project to make it long lasting.

If I am getting no bites and few lookers, I tend to take a hard look again at the niche by as an example, forum searching to see if people are just talking about it or actually looking to solve a problem.
