Google Adsense question: hurting other websites by clicking the ads over and over again?

I'm new to IM and have a basic question:

I read that Google AdSense will ban your account if they think you're cheating and clicking the AdSense ads over and over again. So if, hypothetically speaking, I didn't like a website, a blog or a forum and wanted to get the site into problems, all I would have to do is blatantly clicking their AdSense ads over and over again (maybe mixing it up with foreign proxies), making Google believe the website/blog/forum is cheating?

Has Google implemented a mechanism to prevent this?

Sorry, I posted this in the wrong section. Could anyone move this thread to the AdSense section?

It's not that simple. They track things well, remember this is a company that has a satellite in the sky (no direct relation, but you get me).

No, the clicks would be marked as fraud-clicks, if you log into his google adsense account, then click the adverts, he'd be banned.

U wanna do this bcoz u dont like the ad on your adsense? Dude, u have issues
U sign up for adsense and u'll always have competition.

it wont work. they look at a few other things before they ban or kick you out. now if you could get the IP of the registered owner and from that particular IP inflate a TON of clicks, there may be a different outcome.

I know for a fact that you can ban anyone you want by using autoclickers and proxies. Google will ban them because they will see all proxy clicks and thats a ban.

I know it works.

Someone I know claims someone got him banned from adsense by clicking his ads over and over.

It will work on most people, yes.

However, smart webmasters use rather simple scripts that prevent such things as multiple ad clicking from a single IP.

This means, after a few clicks from that IP (assuming its a proxy :D) the ad won't be displayed for a set time interval.

And remember this before you try to ruin someone: What goes around comes around ;)
