Looks like one of my sites has been struck with a +150 penalty from google, its stuck on the 15th page of google at the moment. The site was about 1,5 years old.

My site was ranking 11th for its keyword and since i bought 2 links on different sites the penalty came.

The links where both sitewide links.

I paid by the month so i didn't renew them, do you guys think my rankings will come back after a while?

Penalties are bullshit man. There is no such thing. The penalty checker bases itself to see if your in the top 100 or 1000. Something like that. Many sites just dance in and out of the top 1000 and those websites will say you have a "penalty". If you are indexed, then you dont have a penalty.

Dont believe those websites that say you have a penalty unless it comes from google webmasters. Your probably just dancing, keep creating links.

Keep it up it happened to me a lot of times but it was not a penalty, they play with the algorithm but eventually good content and building links will bring it back stronger..

For example, I had a website that was on page 2 on google, all of a sudden I paid for some links and it dropped to page 4 for some time and after around a week it came back up on the first page of google even stronger.

Keep it up and don't despair.. People are so quick with their penalties on these forums..

I have had a similar experience for few of my domains with sitewide links. I did not buy the links, but the links came from blog commenting. It took me 3 months to recover my position - till I got rid of the sitewide links. Just keep on building links making sure that the links are not sitewide.

    just sayin'

if you want it to come back, build web 2.0 properties, as well as bookmarks.

Take the time to write 10 articles. Each 300-500 words. After that, submit each article to a web 2.0. Blast the web 2.0's, and ping the links you get from blasting the web 2.0's.

Get the blasted links crawled/indexed, and you will be ranking.

Buying 2 links is really too trivial to have a significant effect. I would look for other possible reasons of ranking loss.

In any event, just keep building links and you'll come back.

Is not penalty, because you din't build any link for 1.5 year and now build some links, google is thinking where to place your site,is not penalty,is google dance. You will come back soon and better position
