Which one do you think carries more effect?
Which one do you think will affect SERPs in a way?
+1's without a doubt for me
+1 is more valuable..
facebook is just a site but goodle is the father..
there rae too many threads who are offering +1 service get there
if you want to know the advanrage of +1..
+1s are valuable... likes are of no use but only can derive some traffic..
G+ has value for SERP
but you have to use both buttons.
No need to choose in between.
actualy the google +1 does not have any benefit in the serps currently.
The only benefit so far, is if your logged into a gmail account that has +1'nd a site, then when you search for a keyword relating to that site, then the site page you +1'nd will appear nearer the top.
There is no further benefit as yet
It's documented by people to increase SERPS. Both Google +1 and Facebook likes increases serps..
I don't have a clue if it helps or not.But the most important thing is there's a +1 section in wemaster tools. So sooner or later it should have some effect.
+ has more effect. Right now it can change your rankings only if you are logged in.
Its logical that +1 has more affect imo.
currently, id say facebook LIKES are more important for a website as 'most' people are familiar with and recognise the thumbs up logo. facebook are spending big money ahead of their $80/$100m IPO promoting themselves and local businesses by sending a facebook window sticker to local business owners (who have a listing) to show that their business is listed in facebook - similar to how yellow pages used to send businesses a sticker saying they were advertised in yellow pages
+1 has to begin carrying some clout as some stage in the not too distant future for the simple reason that google own it and they now have a frontline competitor firmly in their sites (see: facebook). their own competitive advantage is that they are a search engine and by the way, lets get it right, theyre not only a search engine, theyre THE search engine so guess which logo theyre featuring next to every search result?
correctamundo - their own +1 symbol
perhaps, bings partnership with facebook will eventually incorporate a thumbs up LIKE next to each and every one of their search results? lot of implications for bing and facebook if that were to happen, as it joins them at the hip, but whether they like it or not and whether they publicly acknowledge it or not, both companies have a common enemy (see: google).
cant remember which famous 19th century british politician said it (think it was lord salisbury), but his quote goes something like this
"there are no permanent enemies or allies. only permanent objectives"
google's objective is to dominate search because everything flows from there.
facebook's is to dominate social media because thats currently all that theyre in so thats their heartland but as for bing (microsoft), i actually wouldnt know what theyre objective is as theyre into almost/just as much as google but less effectively and with no clear and easy-to-define route forward. their WINDOWS operating system is at risk with the advent of free/low cost cloud computing, their OFFICE wordprocessing/spreadsheet/powerpoint product is at risk from the free download OpenOffice.org (owned by sun until bought out by oracle), their IE browser is steadily losing ground to and at risk from free download firefox which is the new version of the old netscape (funded by google) and free download chrome (owned by google).
microsofts biggest success these days appears to be googles android phone system which includes a bit of software that MS patented and they receive circa $7 on every unit shipped (currently over 500,000 units per day - i.e $200m pa).
i know im going off topic a bit with all of the above, but when you think about it all in depth, its mind boggling trying to work out where to place your bets isnt it. still, all we've got to do is worry about getting another set of 'links' with +1's added to the LIKES and thats no big deal is it.
coming back on topic, is there any kind of +1 acquisition strategy that you guys are using - i.e. are there +1 exchanges developing out there or are we limited to buying +1's and if the latter, how 'trusty' are they - i mean, wouldnt google see that the 100 +1's you bought fpr a few dollars all came from india/philippines etc etc and wouldnt they devalue them for seo purposes?
Definately +1's , But make sure they are built steadily so Google wont remove them.
