I 've been an Opera fanatic since version 6.5.

I like the change. I 've installed version 15 that is based on Blink and I 'm already using it. While not as my main browser yet, as it is missing many features of Opera 12 I use, it will become my main browser as soon as they integrate the features in this new system.

Dumping Presto was a wise choice imho. The browser engine wars has been won by Chromium and Presto couldn't keep up. As a developer, it was very obvious.

Since most of Opera 's features were built on top of Presto, it is expected they can't remake them instantly. It will be a process and I 'm happy to wait and see them back well integrated.

Opera is constantly innovating and now it can have more resources into that instead of fighting a lost war.

I'm an Opera fanatic as well, it just felt well from the first time I started using it.

At some point of time I tried to switch to Chrome (due to proxy issues with Opera), and it simple wasnt as convenient to use as Opera was. One thing I remember, that was always pissing me off, is the weird behavior of Chrome when I try to select and copy some link, instead selecting in 99% of times I end up clicking that link. Its a small nuance, but when these nuances start to build up you start to feel how user unfriendly Chrome is compared to Opera.

These nuances are mostly part of the basic WebKit behavior, feature here and feature there doesn't make a difference. Additionally, there are tons of WebKit based browsers, and I dont really understand why Opera feels another one is needed.

So it's best to stick with v12.15?
BTW why they skipped two version numbers?

    EDITED:
Auto update is not available :|

Why would you think beating a dead horse (presto) would be a good choice?

I always felt that the platform is not the main problem of Opera, the problem seem to be the lack of budget for proper advertisement campaign. Its a risky move on their part. They cant attract new customers anyway, and might lose large part of the existing user base.
