I need something with a good CPU + good support. what will be a good option? Thanks!
Mediatemple.net! One of there lower packages handled 250,000+ visitors for me in one day!
can't find what CPU they have they don't say and live chat nobody is there any idea?
Not sure what CPU either. But all my visitors each start a process since my site is heavy flash. I have tons of databases running at the same time to. So it might be able to handle what you need. If you email them support gets back pretty quick.
Are you looking for dedi CPU specs or what you would be sharing.
look on webhostingforum i found one for $189 with windows 2003 it's an i7 860 2.8ghz with 8gb of ram more then enough for anything
watcha host is way 2 expensive. If u want just a VPS go for thrustvps.com cheapest around.
for me personally like In vps you share but dedi it's all for yourself but they don't even say the dedi specs. Wachahost Is out of stock and they they don't have a good cpu they share it and won't guarantee "x" Ghz for $90 ;/
I appreciate you calling it stupid in the chat
You will find that anyone who has OpenVZ will not be able to give you a ********* CPU range. It is done on priorities. If no one else is using the server at the time, you will get the entire core to yourself. If EVERYONE is using the server, then you get your equal share of the server.
can you get linux with them?
lol didn't knew it's you.
not really stupid but I need to know how much I get, I got HostGator level 3 vps ram + cpu Is on 100% usage all the time :/
Looks like they run different virtulization software from Wacha. So can't give you anything directly comparable.
Let's say we pulled 6 premium customers onto a single core (Which is probably the max we would do). Then it would be a Xeon Quad Core 2.6ghz (With HT aswell), divided by 6. But I am not at all sure how Hostgator are coming to their CPU numbers, I would think they are probably giving you a single core with that number.
Void if your looking to run a Web site don't only look at specs. That was my problem when i first started to rent vps, dedi. I went through about 15 hosts and 14 of them were shit. Load time sucked. Some of them allow you to upgrade your connection but I assure you that will not help you at all with there shitty internet service... specs were nice..
I'm running my websites on hostgator working fine no need vps for them, I need the VPS for few scripts I have and they take a lot of CPU. So the specs are very important for me I tried 3 companies (Myhosting(nice but no cpu power), Mochahost(shit), Hostgator(expensive for the specs) so far. Need something with a good CPU Dual Core + minimum 2gb ram something like that.
I have 3 spare servers laying around two are: 2 x 3GHZ Xeon Processors, the other is a 2 x 2.4 GHZ Xeon Processor (each have two processors). They currently do not have any ram or hard drives installed, I could work out a deal for you where you could pretty much build your own server (let me know how much ram and disk space you need) I could then come up with a very competitive rate for you (under $90 a month). Oh and did I mention you can have unlimited bandwidth?
Shoot me a pm or email me (peter(at)hostwinds.com)
Are you still looking for a Dedi Server?
got 2 VPS
both have been real good and took advantage of discounts and upgrades at webhosting talk.... I pay $34 at both places after discounts.
serverbeach - those guys bent over backwards to keep me happy and the specs I got on a sale they had were the best I could find.... paid $100 after discount.
serverloft was also good deal for what I was paying for.
Places to Avoid
hoststore - scammers
volumedrive - waste of time.
try hostgator/godaddy. they're both great.
PM Me , i got them for you.
