    Hi BHW,

I have a good ranking in google, I'm on the first page for ~10 keywords but I'm nowhere on Bing and Yahoo, and I don't really know why, is there something different to do for Yahoo and Bing ?
Of course, I know Google is the best, but Bing and Yahoo together can add quite a bit more traffic.
And do I need to use Bing Webmaster Tools ?

no, you don't need to use bing webmaster tools...

bing/yahoo take much longer to rank in so be patient, probably three times longer (estimate)...

also, bing/yahoo really like private blog networks, but google doesn't, so don't submit your site to private blog networks just for bing/yahoo b/c then your site won't rank in google...

if i were you, i wouldn't worry about bing/yahoo...i don't believe for a second bing/yahoo have 35% of the search volume...

If you ranked on the front page of Google, there is a good chance you will with Bing too. Bing takes atleast 2-3 months to account for backlinks. Whenever you get good quality backlinks, you always fall back a few pages for a month or two. I don't know why Bing does that. I understand they need to assess new links, but that's too long. It discourages people from link building, maybe that's their agenda.

Yes but Bing+Yahoo= 20% of search volume, so I'll see what happens but it's a good traffic increase.

Weird thing is I was FIRST in Bing for 3 days 1months ago then nothing... so it didn't seem like bing took time to get the backlinks.

Bing and Yahoo are different companies to Google; they use special factors to rank sites. Their indexing and ranking is moderately slower so just stay patient, I think keep working on your on-page and off-page optimization. I'd also like you to dig into Bing's guidelines, if you want bing index problem here you can check Bing Help Home > Bing Webmaster Tools Table of Contents ...some suggestion for you
    1) on-page and off-page optimization
    2) directory submission(doing directory submission as directory links liked by Yahoo and Bing)

I am having the same problem. What's weird is that my site started out well on Bing and Yahoo but slow on Google. Now I own Google but Bing and Yahoo lag far behind..... Like way far behind.
