Going back to the Valentine thread that was made.
Let's say you get an affiliate that sells flowers (proflowers.com)

You make a site to promote it (which will be somewhat long because of the affiliate code)

Then you make a second site which will really easy to memorize (ABCflowers.com)

So when people go to ABCflowers.com it riderects them to your affiliate site, which riderects them to proflowers.com

So.. Can't you make flyers (like it was stated in the valentine thread) with your short website...

To make it more believeble on a short website when they go on it it'll say, "WE HAVE MOVED! RIDERICTING YOU NOW..." (To make it more legit) and it'll go on proflowers.com but under your affiliate

+ Can't you hire some kids for $50, they will deliver like... 1000 flyers to like 4-5 buildings

    Flowers there are $30+
You make %15 comission, that is $4.5 per sale

So pretty much out of those 1000 flyers ($50) that would be dropped into mailboxes, 11 people need to buy something in order to break even...
    Hmm...

There's two sides of making money. One is the mathematical calculations to see how much you need to spend, how much you'll make, etc. Two is the actual results that come in.

From my experience, the actual results are NEVER the same as the predicted ones. It sounds like a good idea you have there, but until you try it, then you'd never know.

Yeah in theory everything sounds nice. Even communism.

But you are right, I just wanted to see if anyone else on BHW have tried it. I'm debating hard about it because its not a lot of money to spend so if I don't get any sales I don't really loose much

    1. Not sure flowers is a good thing to push right now, valentines day has passed and not many people will impulse buy flowers (at least not in my experience)

    2. Take into account the cost of the flyers too, using professional looking door-hanger flyers will increase your conversions.

    3. With flyers, its all about the ad copy, if you can make that person laugh when they pick up the flyer, your conversions will shoot through the roof.

Hmm.. So what do you think might be "in" right now?

.. Or for each city or 'hood' its a different thing

EDIT: Or maybe .. each week.. different product?

You don't need to make it that complicated, you can just do a php refresh and the aff link will come up when they type in your new URL. You should find something that converts well online before you spend more money; if the offer doesn't convert then scaling it up by plastering thousands of flyers all over the neighborhood will just be wasting money.. and all that paper... Now, if you find something that converts consistently, and you can determine your average visitor value... and you can have professional door hangers made up for less than that... then go nuts, as you can be sure it will have a good return.

As for networks allowing offline marketing, it depends. Some do and some don't, and it probably varies even by offer within each network. You can call your AM and ask, or you can just do a double meta refresh to mask the traffic source so they won't know..

    Home Page:
Don't forget Easter is coming up and it's huge for Lilly's.... I think it's a great idea Spellz and Copeac has an email zip for Acai.

Get a domain - redirect it to your aff link
    Make a flyer
Go to Curves, train station parking lots. Slide some flyers under the wipers.

Well like I said before, "In theory everything sounds good. Even communsim" But I agree with bl4ck1ce on this one... I need to find something that converts well (Shitty part about it is that it can convert GREAT on the internet, but horrible in my neighborhood/city).

Got no idea what the "php refresh" it

@wgizzney: If I get a domain and redirect it to my aff link... -- I pretty much need a second domain

    Example:

    ABCflowers.com -> xxmoney.proflowers.blogging.com -> proflowers.com

Then when I sign up on profloers.com I tell them my site is proflowers.blogging.com
Meanwhile I actually use ABCflowers.com as a redirect.. Ugh.. Its hard to explain lol
But I think with out masking my middle domain the affiliate can ban me
